Mark Meckler

Mark Meckler graduated with honors from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1988 and began his practice in the areas of real estate and business law.  For the last eleven years has specialized in Internet advertising law.  He’s owned a variety of businesses from manufacturing to food service, and has served legal clients across many industries.

Prior to helping launch the tea party movement, Mark was not politically active. He’s registered as an "independent" voter and has been for almost ten years.

Mark is the Co-Founder and National Coordinator for the Tea Party Patriots, the largest grassroots tea party organization in the nation.  He appears regularly on television outlets as diverse as MSNBC, ABC, NBC, Fox News, CNN, Bloomberg, Fox Business and the BBC.  He's highly sought after for a tea party and citizen self-governance perspective from a wide range of print and electronic media outlets, from the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, L.A. Times, Washington Examiner, Politico and The Hill .

Mark’s opinion editorials regularly run in many of the leading political newspapers both on and offline. His first book "Tea Party Patriots, The Second American Revolution" will be released (by Henry Holt and Company Publishers) in February 2012.  His current focus is on teaching about the Founder's concept of self-governance, and its importance to saving the nation.  When not fighting for the future of our nation, Mark is an avid horseman, and lives in rural northern California with his wife Patty and two children.
