Dutch Member of Parliament, Champion of Free Speech
Report by Betty Sakai
Member of the Dutch Parliament since 1998, Geert Wilders lives today under 24/7 security for daring to speak the truth about Islam when political discourse and media coverage have been anything but truthful. He is one of 150 elected to the Tweede Kamer, the Netherlands House of Representatives. The Netherlands is a small, tolerant country of 16.5 million people in Western Europe where the government provides housing, education, medical care, and a spending stipend for each citizen. Mr. Wilder formed the party for Freedom (PVV) in 2004 because he disagreed with the leadership in Parliament.
