PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

President Richard Geno addresses the forum.

Welcome to The Conservative Forum of Silicon Valley.  We are indeed a forum…where conservatives come to speak.  Over the past four years, a “Who’s Who” of conservative writers, CEO’s of think tanks, political activists and leaders of other conservative organizations have graced our stage.  We have had David Horowitz, Sally Pipes, Ward Connerly, John Lott, Brian Kennedy, Aryeh Green, Debra Saunders, Jeff Katz, Star Parker, Daniel Pipes and dozens of other outstanding speakers.  Average attendance at our monthly meetings is approximately 250.

In 2008, we had our first annual Conservative Forum debate with 660 attendees.  Two professors at San Jose State University debated two scientists on the topic of “Man-made Global Warming – a global phenomenon, or just hot air”?  From that, we created a video for sale, and have posted several YouTube clips.  During the year, we also experienced a tour to the Hoover Institution; and we had a special luncheon with Ed Feulner, President of the Heritage Foundation.

We have an excellent group of community leaders who serve on our Board of Directors who capably manage the business of our organization. We have met with the news editor and editorial chief of the San Jose Mercury discussing mainstream media bias. Scores of our members have written letters to the editor of the Mercury in an effort to balance out the overwhelming liberal leanings of the editorial opinions of the paper.

Most of all, we provide a sanctuary for conservatives in a sea of liberalism. Each month we get the facts and insight of thought-provoking experts in areas such as economic freedom, immigration reform, the war on terrorism, global warming, media bias, the collectivization of America and election fraud.  As one of our members has said, “The people are friendly, and there is excitement in the air”.

You will find The Conservative Forum of Silicon Valley a place that educates, informs and motivates. Please join us.
