HOROWITZ EVENT A BIG SUCCESS
CFSV MEMBERSHIP FOR 2007 PASSES 200

September 2007

Guest Speaker:  David Horowtiz

David Horowitz addresses The Conservative Forum

Over 200 people jammed into the American Legion Hall on Tuesday night to see David Horowitz discuss terrorism and its link with the left in America. He proclaimed that "the 'anti-war' movement is not against war; they are against American wars."

David gave out his websites as the source for his information: www.terrorismawareness.org and www.discoverthenetworks.org

He introduced Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week the week of October 22-26; and he encouraged the group to do something about making sure that there are conservative demonstrations on the Santa Clara University campus.

David Horowitz received three standing ovations, and sold over 100 of his books. Meanwhile, The Conservative Forum membership swelled to 205 paid members for 2007. This is up from a base of zero just two years ago at this time. CFSV already has 69 new members and renewals for 2008.

Following up on The Conservative Forum Strategic Planning meeting held on August 4th, President Richard Geno encouraged the large gathering to volunteer to help the organization move to the next level. Thirty (30) people responded for committees and tasks; and a few volunteered to be on the board of directors.

Steve Wright, editorial chief from the San Jose Mercury, commented to several of our members as he left how impressive the turnout was.
