SPECIAL EVENT -- GUEST SPEAKER
February 2007
Aryeh Green
 |
President Richard Geno (R) with Guest Speaker, Aryeh Green |
Our second Special Event was a huge success. Aryeh Green, our guest speaker from Israel was brilliant.
Green talked about the basic humanity of the democratic republic of Israel that often works against its own best interests in defense policy. Given a chance to wipe out an area where 75% of the terrorists were operating, the Israeli government rejected doing it because of the potential killing of innocent people.
In Jenin, twenty-three Israeli soldiers were killed not to protect the country of Israel, but to protect Palestinian women and children.
When introducing Aryeh Green, President Richard Geno highlighted all of the incredible accomplishments of the very small country of Israel. With only 6 million people, Israel has led the world in high technology inventions, has more start-up companies than any country besides the United States, more venture capitalists per capita than any country, and one of the highest GDPs per capita in the world. These achievements have occurred despite constant violent threats by its neighbors.
We had approximately 150 attendees from both The Conservative Forum and the Republican Jewish Coalition who witnessed Aryeh Green's sterling 45-minute presentation and 45 minutes of Q&A before giving him a standing ovation.
