Eric Golub & Christmas Party
 |
| Commedian Eric Golub was enjoyed by all; round table discussion groups were discussed; and the food was outstanding. |
We welcomed 250 conservatives to our Christmas Holiday Party. To put the attendance in perspective, we had 45 attendees at our same meeting last year. Everyone really enjoyed our conservative comedian, Eric Golub. He had us rolling in the aisles with humorous jabs at liberals and Democrats, and Obama, Pelosi and Reid, in particular.
Following Eric Golub's humor, we broke out into 15 round table discussion groups where we discussed issues like global warming, cap and trade, ObamaCare, excessive government spending, the financial crisis, the meeting in Copenhagen, the dangers of radical Islam, taxation, tea parties and Conservative Forum volunteerism.
Outstanding food was available right up until 9:45pm, when we finally closed down after a 3-1/2 hour party.

Our president, Richard Geno, gave a report on the progress made by The Conservative Forum in 2009 as follows:
During the last election cycle, we have grown from 0 paid members to approximately 400 by year-end 2009. We have built a data base of over 2,000. Our average attendance at monthly meetings grew from 90-100 last year to over 200 this year. We had speakers talk about energy, health care, bloated government spending, immigration, the military, tea parties, Israel, senatorial politics, and just last month, we heard Jesse Lee Peterson tell us how much damage the federal government has done to the black communities of America.
We joined tea parties with crowds of over 2,000 people back on Tax Day – April 15th. Melanie Morgan emceed that event, and the following month she drew an overflow standing room only crowd right here. 1000 of us manned the corners out in front of Barnes and Noble as Barbara Boxer cowered on the floor in the back seat of a little Honda as she was whisked in and out of the store after selling fewer than 100 books. That is how many books Sarah Palin sells every three seconds.
We attended town hall meetings of Anna Eshoo, Mike Honda and Zoe Lofgren. We asked questions when we were allowed to. On every occasion, we outnumbered the leftists by factors of up to 40-1. At our September Tea Party, we actually outnumbered the left literally 400-1 – one lonely liberal who left in disgust after an hour of being surrounded by conservatives.
We are being copied. There is now a Conservative Forum of Marin County, which has already had several meetings, one with 130 attendees. The Conservative Forum of Hawaii and The Conservative Forum of the East Bay have started. Conservative Forums are getting off the ground in Spokane, Washington and Mission Viejo, California.

It was a standing room only crowd!
