2011 Speakers
Brad Dacus got 2011 off to a great start. As the founder and president of Pacific Justice Institute, Brad defends religious liberties and parental rights throughout the country. PJI has a network of approximately one thousand volunteer affiliate attorneys, and handles more cases on the West Coast than any other organization of its kind.
February 2011 - Dr Burt Folsom
In the second largest crowd to attend a Conservative Forum meeting in history, Dr. Burt Folsom both enlightened and entertained the audience with his knowledge and humor. He started out by pointing out that life is not fair. He was able to trade the icy cold snow of Hillsdale, Michigan for a balmy 70-degree day in Silicon Valley. He also pointed out that it was not fair for him to be showered with such wonderful hospitality in exchange for delivering a lecture on two of the worst presidents in American history (Franklin Roosevelt and Barack Obama).
Our speaker this evening is such a rising star he was a Lt. Colonel when we invited him but was a full Colonel by the time he spoke to us. Congratulations Colonel. Beginning with the Ghaznavid Empire in 963 AD, COL McGee treated the Forum audience to a brief and illuminating history of Afghanistan.
April 2011 - Professor John Yoo
Another Conservative Forum packed house welcomed John Yoo, law professor at UC Berkeley. Professor Yoo, an expert on presidential executive power, discussed the various presidencies over the more than two centuries of American life. The title of his new book, "Crisis and Command: A History of Executive Power from George Washington to George W. Bush," served as the backdrop for his talk.
May 2011 - Victor Davis Hanson
Our second largest audience in Conservative Forum history witnessed a truly great presentation made by Victor Davis Hanson in May. Over 400 people made their way to Mountain View to hear a true scholar discuss everything from the Obama White House to Middle East policy. Since our meeting came on the heels of the killing of Osama bin Laden, Dr. Hanson pointed out that the Obama administration used every tool developed and all of the evidence gathered by the Bush administration to find and kill Osama bin Laden.
June 2011 - Dr. Lawrence J. McQuillan
Dr. McQuillan’s main focus this evening was to take us through Karl Marx’s list of 10 things needed to overthrow western capitalism without firing a shot. This list was included in the Communist Manifesto published in 1848 and is compared to where we stand today in the US and in California.
July 2011 - Pete Constant & Mike Wasserman
The Conservative Forum attendees on Tuesday night, July 12th, were treated to an incredible education on local matters, budget challenges and the problems faced by city councils and boards of supervisors.
August 2011 - Dr. Paul Gregory
Our August meeting was a unique presentation from a Hoover Institution scholar, Dr. Paul Gregory. With the backdrop of a political power struggle, Dr. Gregory showed an amazing storytelling ability to intertwine the brutality of Joseph Stalin, political infighting and a Soviet romance.
September 2011 - Dr. John Eastman
Dr. John Eastman discussed the Constitution with The Conservative Forum attendees in September; and he demonstrated the various ways that the Obama administration is violating the Constitution. Dr. Eastman brought in four distinct areas where the Constitution is being violated; namely, illegal immigration, ObamaCare, Libya and Retroactive Pensions.
October 2011 - Andrew Breitbart
Andrew Breitbart takes no prisoners when he delivers his message about liberals, Democrats or the media. He says it like it is whether it is politically correct or not.
Ward Connerly expressed a grave concern about where the United States is going. The downgrading of our credit rating is but an in indicator of how far we have fallen.
